Privacy policy

Last updated October 2026 · Convrt Media Ltd

In short

We run no advertising pixels: no Meta pixel, no Google Analytics, no ad networks.

We set no cookies of our own. We store two small values in your browser to know which link brought you here.

The one exception is video: YouTube sets a cookie when a page with one of its players loads. Details below.

We never sell your data, and we do not share it for anyone else's advertising.

Want it gone? Email contact@j-visionmedia.com and we will delete it.

This page explains what Convrt collects when you visit this site, why we collect it, and how to have it removed. It is written to be read, not to be survived.

Who we are

Convrt is the trading name of Convrt Media Ltd. We are the data controller for everything described on this page. You can reach us at contact@j-visionmedia.com.

What we collect

Two things, and they are separate.

1. Site analytics. Every page load sends a small record to our own server. It contains a randomly generated visitor ID, the page you are on, the site you arrived from (your referrer), and any campaign tags in the link. Our server also records the approximate country and device type your request came from, derived from your IP address. We do not store your raw IP address alongside this record.

2. Link attribution. We publish short-form clips across social platforms, and the links in those posts carry a click ID. If you arrive through one, we keep that ID so that when you later book a call we can tell which clip or profile actually brought you. That is the entire purpose. It is not used to build a profile of you, and it is not shared with advertising platforms.

Why we are allowed to do this

Our lawful basis for the analytics and the link attribution is legitimate interests: we need to know which of our own content brings people here, and we do it with a random ID rather than anything that identifies you. You can stop it at any time; see Your choices.

When you send us a booking enquiry, we handle those details to take steps at your request before entering into a contract, and afterwards on the basis of our legitimate interest in replying to you.

What we store in your browser

We set no cookies of our own. We use your browser's local storage, which behaves similarly but is never transmitted automatically with your requests:

  • vx_vid: a random visitor ID. It is not derived from anything about you, and it is not linked to your name or email unless you choose to book a call.
  • vx_cid: the click ID from a tracked link, kept for 30 days, then ignored.

You can clear both at any time through your browser's "clear site data" setting, and nothing on the site will break.

Cookies set by YouTube. Some pages carry YouTube videos. We use YouTube's no-cookie player, but the script that drives it is served by YouTube itself, and YouTube may set a cookie (__Secure-YNID) on your device when that page loads. That cookie is YouTube's, not ours, and we receive nothing from it. Blocking third-party cookies, or using a content blocker, stops it without breaking the rest of the site.

What we do not do

We think this matters more than the list above:

  • No Meta pixel, no Google Analytics, no TikTok pixel, no advertising or remarketing tags of any kind.
  • No selling or renting of personal data, ever.
  • No sharing your data so another company can advertise to you.
  • No attempt to identify you personally from your browsing. We only know who you are if you tell us.

If that changes, for example if we begin running paid advertising and need a conversion pixel, we will update this page and say so plainly before it goes live.

When you book a call

Our booking form runs on our own systems, at forms.visionclipping.com. The details you enter, typically your name, email, company and what you need, go straight to us. We use them to contact you about working together. We do not add you to unrelated marketing lists.

If you arrived through a tracked link, the click ID travels with your submission so we know which clip earned the conversation.

Other services this site touches

  • Cloudflare hosts the pages, routes every request and protects the site from abuse. It sees your IP address as part of doing that.
  • Google Fonts serves the typefaces. Your IP address is visible to Google as part of loading them.
  • YouTube provides the videos embedded on some pages, through its no-cookie player. See the note on YouTube's cookie above.

These companies have their own privacy policies, which govern what they do with what they receive.

Where your data goes

The services listed above are operated from the United States and elsewhere. That means information covered by this policy may be transferred outside the UK and the European Economic Area. Where those transfers involve personal data of UK or EEA visitors, they rely on the receiving company's own safeguards, typically the standard contractual clauses published for that purpose. If you would like to know more about the protections that apply, email us and we will tell you.

How long we keep things

  • Click IDs in your browser: 30 days.
  • Analytics records on our server: up to 24 months, then deleted.
  • Booking enquiries: kept for as long as we are in contact, and for up to 24 months after our last exchange, or until you ask us to delete them.

Your choices

Wherever the law gives you these rights, you can ask us to: give you a copy of what we hold about you, correct it, delete it, restrict what we do with it, hand it over in a portable form, or stop processing it altogether. Because we rely on legitimate interests for the analytics and attribution described above, you have the right to object to that at any time, and we will stop.

Email contact@j-visionmedia.com and we will action it. We will not make you fill in a form to be forgotten. We answer within 30 days.

You can also stop the analytics beacon entirely with any standard content blocker, or by disabling JavaScript. The site works either way.

If you are not happy with how we handled it

You can complain to your local data protection authority. In the UK that is the Information Commissioner's Office, at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint. In the EEA it is the supervisory authority for the country you live in. We would rather you came to us first, but you do not have to.

Changes to this policy

If we change how any of this works, we will update this page and change the date at the top.
